Privacy Policy — Sedcore Proxy

Sedcore Proxy keeps only the settings you enter, on your device. It has no servers of its own, sends nothing to the developer, and does not sell or share any data. The only personal data it handles is your proxy login and password (authentication information): it stores them locally and sends them only to the proxy server you configured.

What the extension stores

The settings you enter — your proxy profiles (type, server, port, login, password), your site rules and the profile you selected — are saved in your browser's local extension storage (chrome.storage.local) on your device only. They are not synced to your Google account and are never sent to the developer.

Where data goes

• Your proxy server. When you use one of your proxy profiles, your browser sends web traffic to the proxy server that you configured. When that proxy asks for a login, the extension sends the login and password saved for it to that server only.
• api.ipify.org — only when you press “Check”. The extension requests https://api.ipify.org to show which IP address websites see. This request is made only on your click; ipify sees the same request any website would.

No analytics, no tracking, no remote code.

Permissions

• proxy — to switch the browser to the proxy you configured, and back.
• storage — to keep your settings on your device.
• webRequest, webRequestAuthProvider, access to all sites — to answer your own proxy's login request automatically; this happens for any site you open through the proxy. Page content is not read or changed.

Removing your data

Remove the extension, or delete your profiles and rules in its settings. Both delete the stored settings.
